Strategic Marketing

As Strategic Marketing Communications Manager you will be responsible for all trade fair-specific marketing communication activities as an innovation-oriented strategist and visionary. You are a sparring partner, guidance and decision maker, mouthpiece, and campaign-related contact for the director (project manager) of the trade fair events you are responsible for. They ensure the cross-channel communication of these trade fairs in analog and digital forms.

We are looking for you as a Strategic Marketing Communications Manager (m/f/d) as soon as possible, for a permanent position, full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours/week).

Your Tasks
  • Identification and guidance in the implementation of marketing and communication trends

  • Development of a trade fair cross-channel end-to-end 360° marketing and communication strategy for international markets

  • Formulation of channel-specific and cross-channel marketing communication goals in coordination with the director of the respective trade fair event and with the support of the marketing communication experts

  • Contemporary and forward-looking (re)positioning of the trade fair in terms of marketing and communication aspects, development of trade fair brands and brand strategies (messages, channel selection, etc.) with the director

  • Development of key messages for online and offline B2B/B2C communication with the director

Tasks
  • Guidance on how to translate the director’s given corporate/exhibition goals into marketing/communications goals and strategies

  • Full responsibility for the development of marketing communication-specific content and technical management (governance function) of the employees

  • Briefing, joint ideation, alignment, and final approval of area-specific campaign elaborations by the marketing communication staff, also with regard to the conception and implementation of trade fair-specific narratives and innovative storytelling

  • Proof of success through the creation of reports and the processing of what has been learned from past trade fairs

  • Budget responsibility, planning, and allocation for marketing communication activities with the Director

  • Quality assurance of the content to be created in the individual marketing communication areas

  • successful management of different stakeholders

Your profile
  • Completed studies, preferably with a focus on digital marketing, marketing or communication, or economics or communication sciences with a strong online orientation

  • Several years of relevant professional experience (digital, PR, advertising agency; marketing/communications department of a company or similar)

  • Several years of experience in integrated communication and in the development of 360° cross-channel marketing strategies

  • Distinct practical experience with digital communication channels, technologies, tools (including social media), and their performance criteria and measurement

  • Experience in project management (agile working) and employee management (technical)

  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness

  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills

  • Generally excellent order of spoken and composed English
